UKS Weekly Challenge

This week's challenge was to use;

  • Scrap about waiting for or expecting something

  • Use 6 different pattern papers

  • Scrap in blue, green and yellow

  • Use blossoms or petals

I still have some photos from Florida to scrap (2 years on!!) and chose this one of Josh and me waiting to get into A bug's life show so I could journal about the time we spent queueing whilst in the parks!

Have cut into my Sarah's cards April Kit... Echo Park - For the record papers and added a little bit of red to lift the page. Plus some baker's twine which I'm loving at the moment! The design is based on an old page maps sketch.

Weekly Challenge

Today being the last day of the holidays for Alex and I (Josh still has another week!) we made it a day of TV, Playstation, scrapping and generally chilling out. I finished one lo and managed a second for the weekly challenge over on UKS. It was set by the lovely Jo , whose blog I follow, and was to include the following elements;

I am trying to play along with Shimelles 4x6 Photo Love class over on her blog so my challenge is to use a 4x6 photo(s) on your page.

I love my punches - especially border punches - so I would love to see you using your punches on your page in whatever way you fancy.

I would like you incorporate some history into your page - be it family history or whatever.

So I set about using the last scraps (literally) from my Crate Restoration papers which came in Sarah's Cards kit last October ( I think). I have loved these papers and this is my record 7th lo from one kit! I have used a 6x4 photo, punched a notepad border on the left and used a bit of history - how Alex being bathed in the sink reminds me of days when I washed myself in our kitchen sink at home!

This page was also finished this morning and from the same kit. It had started life as Sarah's Cards monthly challenge but it didn't get finished before the deadline! This was Alex dressed up in some of her presents at Christmas last year as everything she unwrapped needed to be worn!

So now I have just enough bits left to make a card or two and then it's on to using up the next kit!

On a different note, tomorrow I am stepping back into uniform and going to help at Brownies in the village. It's been a few years since I hung up my leaders hat but am really looking forward to getting involved again.

Now I just need to find my badge...
