Sharing some more pages

So whilst I was a little quiet between Autumn and Christmas on my blog I did manage a few pages and here are another couple.  I'd put together my own kit using mostly Amy Tangerine Yes Please papers, some of the co-ordinating embellishments plus some other bits from my stash.

First up is"famfie" - I'm sure this word will make an entry in the Oxford dictionary soon but for now it's a slang word for a family selfie!

This was us on the last day of holiday in Kefalonia last May.  I love the way taking a picture like this makes us all laugh.

Top of the Tower - The other page I'm sharing today was taken stood on the glass floor of the Blackpool Tower.

We had taken 60 Brownies from our village for a sleepover and the following morning when I saw my girls stood on the glass with no fear there was no way I could say no!  I was pleased I was able to incorporate a postcard of the tower and a badge I bought in the souvenir shop on the page.

I've one more page made with this kit which I'll share in the next day or two.  Meanwhile it's half term here so back to chilling, watching films, scrapping and a little prom dress shopping :)

One photo and twenty words

This girl.  She continues to amaze me.  Her resilience is so great.  She is a star.  She is something special.

I'm linking up with Abi today for meme of posting one photo and describing it in twenty words. Apologies for my emotional post today but she's been away over the weekend, has been struggling with anxiety and I missed her and worried about her loads!

Some pages to share

As I've been a bit remiss with my blogging I thought I'd best share some of the pages I made last month...

This is the island of Spinalonga made famous in Victoria Hislop's novel The Island (If you've not read it I can't recommend it highly enough).   I'd put together a kit for myself with mostly Amy Tangerine "yes please" plus some embellishments of my own to use up.  The sketch was the one I'd set for our sketch challenge group...

 I assure you this page is straight in real life!

To go with the page I put together 3 pocket pages with photos from the island itself and an information leaflet plus our tour tickets.  I have yet to add journalling which I am still thinking about as I found the place very moving.

The other page I have to share is also a sketchy scrappers page using up a Gossamer Blue kit

This was the sketch set by Gemma...

And this is what I came up with adding a few extra bits from my own stash.  The photos are of Josh on the same holiday enjoying the spheres on the water in the water park we visited...

Back soon with more pages to share.  Thanks for stopping by.

Scrap room clear out (part 1)...

Well, I had planned to scrap today but as my husband has offered to paint our study/craft room while he is off work (he took a compromise package in November so is currently looking and kicking his heels!) I got into sorting out and the next thing you know it's 5pm and I've a pile of things to sell or throw and I feel I've accomplished quite a bit!

So I had the full set of Project Life Coral which I've bought to scrap a specific trip however I am never going to use all the cards so I have two packs to sell.  Each pack contains 100 3x4 (2 of each design) and 17 4x6 (random selection).  Just £7 including postage and I have two sets left.

Next up is a Sizzix side kick which works but has been replaced by a big shot :)  Can't find the plates for this so looking for £10 inc postage.

The next items are all free to a good home.  You can collect if you live near me in Cheshire if not you'll just need to pay postage,  First up a load of old magazines;

 Next a Scrapbook trends book:

And finally a cutting mat strip for the Woodware trimmer with the interchangable blades (I no longer own mine);

I also have a box of items for a charity if anyone can put me in touch with  a craft group that would like donations eg a hospice.

If you are interested in any of the items please leave me a note below with our email address and I'll get in touch to arrange postage and payment.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hopefully I can share pictures of a newly painted craft room soon!

Make me "that" cake she said.  So one chocolate cake, three boxes of Matchmakers, some raspberries, the candles and voila!

I'm joining in with Abi today over at a Creating Paper Dreams (well it's about time I joined in with something as I've not blogged since September according to my bar on the right!) for her monthly meme "one photo and twenty words". Find your photo and tell your story in just that many words. Head on over to Abi's blog see some more fabulous posts.

Carfest North

At the bank holiday weekend in August I managed to rattle off a few pages due to the combination of a poorly me and some rainy weather!

I finished off a Gossamer Blue kit and, without the aid of a sketch, threw all the bits on the page to create this;

We had a great day at Carfest North last year but by far the best bit was the concert in the evening.  It was made even more special by a beautiful sunset.

Thanks for cheking in.  Not much scrapping going on round here due to a new job, fund raising planning for Alex and her trip with Guides next year and two weekends away coming up.  Normal service (whatever that is!) will be resumed soon!

One Photo & Twenty Words

My mum, looking so fit and well for 80.  A Grandma they love and adore.
A rare family moment captured.

I am linking up with Abi over at Creating Paper Dreams for her fabulous monthly meme "One photo & Twenty words".  Find a photo and tell your story in just 20 words.  It's not as easy as you think!
