A few pages to share..

Last month I spent a lovely weekend at a barn in Herefordshire with the Dizzy Dots and managed to do a few pages...

Firstly a page of Josh in Florida last year having fun on the zip wire...

These pictures are from a trip to Anglesey last year when Josh was in his own world sculpting on the beach...

And this one is with Sarah's Cards October kit which is absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for this photo taken on a walk in October which was begging to be scrapped...

Thanks for looking

Oh yes it's ladies' night!

Last Thursday it was Ladies' evening at school to raise funds for the PTA. This is always a great event with shopping, drinking and pampering on offer. I chose to have my hair put up by a local hairdresser and would definitely do it again. I can't believe how different I look!

Friday it was a long overdue day off and a few of us took off to Manchester for "shopping and champagne"!! We had a mooch around the Christmas Markets, tried on a host of boots and shoes and ended up in this fabulous italian restaurant for a late lunch and some well earned glasses of prosecco. We declined the champagne as the cheapest was £50 a bottle going right up to £1150!!!

Apologies for the lack of posts - I will be back with more later this week.

On a roll!

I've now finished off another lay out that was half finished having finally managed to cut all the flowers for the bottom part whilst watching X Factor on Saturday! I have scrapped a photo of Alex from holiday this year and captured the story of her songwriting for her leavers assembly in July. A fact she kept secret from me until the day and which when I read her name and heard it sung made me cry...well start crying again really as the whole assembly was very emotional! The page is a scraplift from Cathy from the Design Team's booklet.

Autumn colours

We took off to find the Quinta Arboretum yesterday and get some fresh air and enjoy the Autumn colours. There were some gorgeous trees like this one...

and this one...

a beatiful avenue of poplars...

and we had some fun throwing leaves at the kids. Josh enjoyed it to the full

Alex was not so sure! Then we went to the pub next door for refreshment and Alex made a new friend! There were loads of ghosts and goulies all over the place ready for a ghost walk on the Sunday.

And Tony took this fab photo which Josh managed to mess up!

I managed to finish this off this week which was a class by the lovely and talented Cathy which I did at the Pink Booby crop the other weekend. The photos I've used aren't fantastic but they suit the feel of the page and remind me of a lovely Summers' afternoon spent watching Alex, Josh, Immy and Max running, doing roly polys and leap frogging on the grass at Speke Hall. Happy memories.

Oh and I also managed to get tickets to see these fine musicians next June. It only took 9 hours to get through and there were three of us trying! I think it will be worth all the effort and every penny though!

K1, P1

I dusted off my knitting needles last month. It all happened by accident as I was taking Alex to the local wool shop - which happens to be in a huge warehouse called The Black Sheep - to get her some wool to make a scarf. I then saw some gorgeous wool and decided to make a scarf which I have now finished. It's just waiting for a nip in the air for its first outing!

Photobucket

Whilst there I also picked up another lot of wool and a pattern to make Alex a waistcoat.

So far it looks like this...

Photobucket

I have finished the back and both fronts, just need to put it all together now and do the yoke! Have really enjoyed picking up my needles again :)

A day off...

Work is full on at the moment so it's nice to finally get a day off to catch up on some things, like finishing off my blog! Today I have made it look pretty and added some extra bits on the right so think I am ready to share it with the world!

I also wanted to share this fab photo of the girls and I in the Absolut Ice Bar in London the other weekend. We had a fabulous three days shopping, eating, a show, laughing (and crying) lots and a bit of drinking too! I am so lucky to have such a fantastic group of friends...

Pink Booby 5

I had a fabulous day last Saturday at the annual crop in Golborne to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. We had classes, cakes, shops, good company, yummy food and a brilliant raffle. Not sure on the final total yet but it must have exceeded the last few years. The oganisers (Ally, Sonja, Leannie, Rachel and Dawn) all did an amazing job. I managed only one complete page and a card but three others are half finished! Here is my lo using Sarahs Cards June Kit from Pebbles Inc.

Hopefully I can show the rest soon when I have found time to finish them!

Here we go!

So here I am diving into the world of blogging with my first post! This is a work in progress so please bear with me as I think there will be a few changes along the way.

This blog is for me to share some of my scrapbooking with the world and also some bits of family life. It is for sharing our world with family and friends and it will also act as a record of our lives in the years to come.

So here goes....
